No, the distribution of forces to the frames is based on the finite element stiffness analysis only. What most users probably do is run the analysis once and determine if the shear in the moment frames meets this limit. Using the frame story shear report is probably best for this. If the force in the moment frame is too low, then there are options:
- Bump up the load using a user defined story force (but this would penalize the walls further)
- Use special load combinations for the design of the frame with amplified load factors
- Use a Pseudo Flexible diaphragm analysis and assign exactly 25% of the total to the moment frame.
