In Ram Elements you can do either static seismic analysis or dynamic. In static it's entirely up to you to enter the forces, nodal loads or member forces, the program does not calculate the ELF for you.
With dynamic analysis you enter masses instead. The program will generate lumped masses for a rigid diaphragm and floor, but for non-rigid structures you will have to apply masses to multiple points (support columns for example). Again, the user must enter a scale factor (and accelerations) to yield the proper effective response, the program does not automatically scale things.
