many thanks for the quick response Kris, so in conclusion as per your example file the program will ignore the global X and Z direction for the static  earthquake method?

What is not clear in the attached file whether the static seismic mass definition is referencing load 1 or 2. if it is referencing load 1 then you are right we need to do the mass definition only once for both static and dynamic mass but if it is referencing load 2 then I am right that we still need to create two separate mass definitions for static and dynamic mass.
