I have a doubt on the Floor Diaphragm in STAAD Select Series 5.
1. Seismic Load generation is for only 02 cases. More than 2, it will generated for 1st case and last case only.
2. For load case with repeat load from seismic load. The result is very strange.
Attached is an sample with Linear analysis with member Tension specification:
1. Try with Seismic Load Generation in X(+) & X(-) direction.
Load case 1: X(+)
Load case 2: X(-)
2. Define Repeat Load:
Load Case 3: Repeat 1 1
Load Case 4: Repeat 2 1
3. Define Load Combination:
Load Case 5 Comb 1 1
Load Case 6 Comb 2 1
What I have expected is the result from case 3 to 6 shall be the same as related load case of 1 and 2. However, only Load combinations worked but Repeat Loads.
By disabling the Diaphragm Floor and using the Master/Slave Node, there was no issue to this matter.
