Structure Rotation and Member Orientation Problems

Hi there,

Really hope someone out there has managed to crack this one..

In my STAAD Pro model I am required to rotate the whole structure around a specific member/line. This I can quite easily accomplish with the Rotate command. No problems there.

However, after the rotation a number of the member orientations have not rotated correctly and I am forced to fix them up. This has been achieved by going through each of the problem members and altering their beta value manually. This isn't overly difficult for a small number of members and for members spanning in one of the primary axis directions, anything more than this and it becomes a hassle changing the beta angle by eye until it looks correct in the 3D rendered view.

After some investigation I found the 'Reference Point' function under Commands>Geometric Constants>Member Reference Point. This allows you to specify a a reference node/point for any number of members. This feature works well until I rotate my model. After any rotation the orientations are askew again and the Reference Point feature seems to stop working.

Has anyone found the same problem? Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your time!
