I am making a offshore platform lifting analysis. It has a bottom frame above which the whole stainless structure rests. Slings are connected to the bottom frame. As per API RP 2A code i have to apply a dynamic amplification factor of value 2 to structures directly connected to bottom frame & slings and a factor of 1.35 to the remaining structures. But i am not sure whether i can do both in staad. Once i set repeat load it is applied for all structures similiarly load combination too. I have only two load cases dead & live. And i have to combine and factor those to 1.35,2 times and apply to specific structures. Can i do it?
