Hi all,
Is it acceptable/accurate to only model design strips on spans you have identified as "critical," yet not model design strips adjacent to the "critical" strip?
For example below... will running a load history analysis give accurate results for the deflections within that strip only. I'm not worried about the deflections elsewhere. 
On another note - I generally only use design strips to check deflections and use design sections to design reinforcement.
One thing I was shown when I started using this program is when you want to quickly check deflections you can use Rule Set Design > Max Service > Bottom Crack Width (or any plan really..) > change plot to "long term deflection." This shows long term deflections for the strips you have nominated. How accurate are these? What is the major difference from these deflections and the load history ones?
