Problem in increasing the cut-off mode shapes+ZERO ON DIAGONAL IN JACOBI ITERATION.
Dear all,
I did the dynamic simulation of a particular foundation on staad pro that the model was working without any problem. I've then added some rigid links at the bottom of foundation which have been linked to one spring at the center of gravity. Afterwards, the following error has been raised. I've tried to increase the cut-off mode shape as this error might come from this issue. Although, it is apparently unchangeable from the command panel. I could change in in Editor but nothing is changed in the corresponding command (i.e. still cut-off mode shapes equal to 6). Therefore, the error is still there! Could anyone please help me to resolve this problem??

Hello Sir !
I have been working on staadpro and I came to know about release specification. I read a few answers which says we release so that no moment is transferred to the other member or in other words just to make the beam simply supported. Here is where I get stuck.
1. How to decide which beams to be released?
2. Which beams to be released at start and which beam to be released at end?
3. How to decide whether to give a beam partial release or fully released ?
4. By how much we release?

load combination for AISC 360-16
what are the differences between AISC LRFD, AISC ASD, and AISC 360-16. when I use ASD, i commonly use load combination 1.0 DL and when I use LRFD, i use load combination 1.4 DL. If I want to use AISC 360-16, that the nominal factor for load combination?

Buckling Mode Shapes & results
I have Arch Structure, Which i have modelled using straight Small beams (To avoid Curved Beam).
Two Main Arches are inter connected with internal Cross bracings.
I have applied Wind loads on Nodes + Usual Dead Loads.
Command " PERFORM BUCKLING ANALYSIS MAX STEP 25 " is already given.
Also " Print Buckling Shapes" Command is given aftre analysis.
However in GUI STAAD pro is not showing andy Buckling Mode shapes, Also in Out put file STAAD is showing
" WARNING : No Buckling shapes exist "

Maximized STAAD PRO CONNECT EDITION window but software screen is not fully displayed (Status bar is not shown hidden away from computer screen)
This is the screenshot that I have taken. The screen is not fully displayed as the status bar right at the bottom is hidden away from computer. I thought it is compatible to windows 10. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Problems with visualization of Staad.pro Connect Edition
Hello,
Working with Staad.pro Advanced Connect Edition I have observed that the visualization is quite slow compared to the old versions (S6 for example).
The reason is that the user has to wait for the image of the model to be created completely before being able to continue manipulating the model. In the previous versions of Staad.pro (S6) the user could continue moving the model or zooming before the complete image of the model was created completely and the image of the model begin to be created again. This happens building the geometry and visualizing the results.
This is especially important for models with large number of plates where the time that Staad.pro need to create the complete image (geometry or results) is greater. To understand the problem you can create a model with more than 30,000 plates and rotate it using the keyboard arrows with S6 and Connect Edition versions
This is the main reason why I continue using the S6 version of Staad.pro.
Can you tell me if this problem will be corrected with the next versions of Staad.pro Connect Edition ??

Staad.pro Connect Edition "NOTE total no. joints is greater than 999"
Hello,
I have calculated a model (simple plate model / with a plate load / fixed supports) with Staad.pro Connect Edition and I got the next NOTE
TOTAL NO. OF JOINTS IS GREATER THAN 999
NO OUTPUT FOR APPLIED JOINTS EQUIVALENT LOADS
If I run the same model with S6 version I don`t get the NOTE ...
The results for the model calculated with S6 and Connect Edition versions are the same (reactions, Statics check results, displacementes, Plate Von Mises stress ..)
Could you explain me this note ??

RAM Concrete Shear Wall Crash
I select the "Concrete Shear Wall" mode under RAM Concrete and the process stops. I get the following message "RAMContainer for Windows has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
RAM Concrete closes. There is no message.
Anybody have this situation come up and have possible work arounds?

RAM Elements Remove Level Restraint
Hello,
Due to some architectural elements, my RAM Model has a partial level in some locations. This level however doesn't interact with the CMU walls I am currently trying to design in RAM Elements - Masonry wall module. Is there any way I can remove the partial level's pinned restraint (shown at Level 2 below) that the Masonry module is creating at this location?

"Concept for Windows has stopped working" error message
I get the following error message anytime I open a RAM Concept file or start a new file. It seems to happen when I carry out different operations, e.g. loading in a CAD file, meshing the structure, trying to open a file.
"Concept for Windows has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
Any solutions?

STAAD Pro 21.00.02.44
I am modeling a new support configuration for pool water instrument rack / monitors with STAAD. Late last week, I received and installed STAAD.Pro version V21.00.02.44. It has successfully run a model of the configuration several times without problems. However, earlier today, it stopped while “Calculating Member Forces.” There was not error given, nothing....the program just stopped and would not go any further. The model consists of small bore tubing, plate elements, a piece of HSS support steel, and solids that are only used to mimic the instrument weight and geometry of the instrumentscommunities.bentley.com/.../Final-Model-Static-DYNAMIC.std
I am at a total loss on this….can you help?

How to solve Detailing failure of Beam in Staad RCDC?
I am working of a factory building,
- area of (119578*46422)sq.mm .
- Its holding Live Load of 130 psf .
- Columns 20 Nos. in long & 8 Nos.in short direction
- Dead Load is of Main wall(0.8353 ksf)+Partition wall(0.363 ksf)+Floor Finish(0.03 ksf)+Self Weight(-1)+Parapet wall(0.11 ksf)
- fy=60,000psi & fc'=2500psi
But after importing & designing in Staad RCDC its showing -"Detailing failure ".
- How to solve this problem , Guys help me?
- Why this problem is showing , can any one tell me ?
By the way I have tried a lot of dimensions[(18"*24"),(24"*24"),(30"*30"),(20"*16"),(36"*36")] but neither of them worked .

plate results -results along line
hi
can within plates results -results along line option be used to see the maximum values for a given number of load cases/ combinations.
i.e. instead investigating the results for each load case can someone request a maximum value from given combinations/ cases for a given location.
is there other way to do it?...e.g. using a 'repeat load' or 'envelope' option within staad...

DB3 File Location
I did a search in the folder where STAAD executables are located for the db3 files (section database files). It showed the same files being in multiple locations. For instance, here are the locations for " AISC_15.db3".
So what's going on? Notice all the files are the same date and size. To add to the weirdness, the "Sections" folder appear as shortcuts but they seem to be actual folders. So why are these files in multiple locations?
BTW, you're probably wondering why I am looking for them. When I use the Section Database Manager and hit "Commit" it crashes so I'm using a third party database tool. I have submitted a service request. Has any one else ran across this bug?

Deflection Checking - Canadian Code - Serviceability Envelope
I am hoping to use STAAD for beam design for a run of simple span beams with dead and live loads.
I currently can not get the program to stop designing for deflection based on factored loads.
I was strength design based on envelope 2 and deflections for envelope 1. Is this possible for Canadian Codes?
